* Over the last ten years, we have had many problems with glass aquariums leaking and even bursting unexpectedly. It is our opinion that in recent times, manufacturing and materials standards for most glass aquariums have greatly diminished.
Glass aquariums are held together with silicone sealant which can eventually separate causing leaks. Aquariums are under pressure as water is heavy. Should a glass tank become seriously scratched, the tank can burst.
Acrylic aquariums are stronger, clearer, insulate better and are warranted for life not to leak. Glass tanks come with a limited warranty, usually only 30 days.
If you desire a larger tank, we can have it built of special Starphire glass. These tanks are much stronger and come with a better warranty but are very expensive.
